Phase2 Technology, in collaboration with ARL:UT at the Pickle Research Campus, seeks a Space Geodesist Research Associate to advance precision survey, geodesy methods, and GNSS techniques. You will develop algorithms, implement software, and publish results to support national security research.

The role emphasizes C++ and Python development, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• US citizen and eligibility for government security investigation.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Experience in geodesy, GNSS, and space geodesy concepts.
• Proficiency with C++ and Python; Linux environment experience.
• Ability to travel occasionally for meetings and fieldwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-level independent precision survey and geodesy research for SGL.
• Present and publish research internally and externally; participate in reviews and conferences.
• Develop first principles formulations, algorithms, systems designs, and software for geodetic applications.
• Apply knowledge of reference frames, GNSS, metrology, orbit determination, and estimation theory to projects.
• Implement software in C++ and Python; define interfaces and write tests.
• Collaborate and provide guidance to team members and students; lead research directions.
• Support other functions and occasional travel to meetings.
