Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks Software Engineers for the Space Special Programs team in Chantilly, VA. You will implement flight software, ground test software, and ground station software across embedded and host levels, interfacing with space systems and C2 databases.

The role spans deeply embedded design, FPGA interaction, data protocols, RF, ML, CV, and high-assurance software in restricted environments. U.S. citizenship and clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical or computer engineering or similar
• 2-8 years of professional software product development experience
• For embedded roles: read VHDL and write C
• For host-side roles: GUI, databases, high-level languages
• Ability to read schematics
• Familiarity with Ethernet, CAN, I2C, SPI, PCIe, MIPI CSI-2
• Familiarity with MCU/CPU/FPGA devices
• Knowledge of analog and digital electronics
• Ability to manage work assignments
• Experience with cross-platform compilers and toolchains
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Willing to learn and contribute ideas
• U.S. Citizen and able to obtain Top Secret clearance

Responsibilities

• Design market leading space flight hardware and ground equipment with a cross-functional team
• Prototype, verify, and qualify software components for space missions
• Apply fault detection, error checking, data redundancy, and high-reliability practices
• Develop low- and high-level mission functionality for diverse hardware interfaces
• Participate in design reviews and collaborate with SWE teams to uplift capabilities
• Determine when to use firmware bring-up vs. flight code development
• Support production with data collection and root-cause analysis
• Adapt to a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent projects
