Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Redondo Beach, CA seeks a Mechanical Technician – Level 3 for a 9/80 onsite role. You will support mechanical and electromechanical designs, perform fabrications and assemblies, and draft fabrication drawings for space flight hardware.

Responsibility includes bonding operations and ESD/contamination control. Requires a high school diploma with 4 years of related experience and the ability to obtain SCI access.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 4 years related experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain SCI access.
• Experience with mechanical assembly using drawings or written instructions.
• Proficient with MS Office and related software.

Responsibilities

• Assist mechanical engineers in development, tests, fabrication, and assemblies.
• Draft detailed drawings for fabrication and assemble components.
• Perform space flight bonding operations using adhesives for various connections.
• Handle delicate flight hardware with proper ESD and contamination control.
• Work other duties as assigned.
