Job summary

AV is seeking an experienced Environmental Test Engineer for multiple programs within the Space Technologies division. The role will support verification and validation activities, environmental test planning, automated test development, data acquisition, and program-wide testing.

Hands‑on experience with vibration tables, thermal chambers, and cleanroom operations is required. The ideal candidate will develop automated test hardware and software to improve efficiency, data quality, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field with 2–5 years of experience.
• Experience testing spaceflight hardware or high‑reliability aerospace systems.
• Experience planning, preparing, executing, and documenting environmental tests.
• Experience with automated control and measurement systems.
• Experience with Python, MATLAB, Simulink, LabVIEW, Java or related tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, execute, and document environmental tests (vibration, thermal, vacuum, EMI/EMC).
• Develop hardware and software for automated environmental test equipment and control systems.
• Create reusable test automation scripts and tools for data acquisition and reporting.
• Integrate test systems with controllers, chambers, data acquisition, and facility systems.
• Support hardware‑in‑the‑loop and software‑in‑the‑loop test environments.
