Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation seeks a technical leader to join the Space Enterprise Design and Optimization team within the Enterprise Effects Division. You will guide studies on space architecture, optimization, and portfolio analysis, coordinating analysts and collaborating with program offices and government customers to advance national space capabilities.

Requirements include a B.S. in a related field, 6+ years of relevant experience, and proficiency in Python, C, C++, and Matlab.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in aerospace, astronautical, or mechanical engineering, physics, operations research, mathematics, or a related field of science or engineering
• 6+ years of relevant and progressive professional or academic experience
• History of leading teams delivering substantial technical analyses or development efforts
• Experience contributing to multiple substantial technical analytical or development projects
• Background in optimization techniques, orbital mechanics, satellite constellation performance modeling, or satellite orbit access analysis

Responsibilities

• Lead teams of analysts to conduct technical deep dives, trade studies, and assessments
• Provide subject matter expertise to program offices and government customers
• Coordinate and organize analysis efforts using modeling and simulation capabilities
• Plan and execute studies, provide technical insights and recommendations
• Sustain, develop, grow, and deploy simulation and analysis capabilities
• Support workforce development, mentoring, and resource planning
