Job summary

Quantic Wenzel, a leader in electronics for space applications, seeks an Electronics Component & Reliability Engineer. You will drive reliability analyses, lead qualification programs, and coordinate radiation hardness and burn-in testing for mission-critical space hardware.

The role emphasizes RCCA, FMECA, MTBF/MTTF reporting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet stringent NASA/MIL-STD standards and ensure launch-readiness of components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, or Chemistry.
• Proven experience in electronic component and reliability engineering.
• Experience in manufacturing of electronics devices, circuits, modules, subsystems.
• Experience in RF and microwave products.
• Understanding of space, aerospace and defense applications.
• Experience in radiation hardening requirements, analysis, and hardening design.
• RCCA (Root Cause and Corrective Action) experience.
• Knowledge of NASA and MIL-STD.
• Knowledge of FMECA (Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis).
• Expert MTBF and MTTF calculations and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define parts requirements during quoting.
• Perform reliability and performance analyses when specs are unclear.
• Coordinate testing for radiation, TID, and dose-rate in space environments.
• Lead root-cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Lead qualification for space components to meet NASA/MIL-STD standards.
• Conduct radiation hardness analyses and determine tolerance.
• Perform EPSA and WCA analyses and lead FMECA activity.
• Provide MTBF/MTTF metrics to ensure product reliability.
• Ensure designs survive launch and in-orbit conditions.
