Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an EEE Component Reliability Engineer to advance reliability of EEE components, avionics, and systems. You will plan and execute reliability testing, analyze failures, and coordinate with design, test, supply chain, and production teams to ensure robust qualification of silicon and electronics.

The role emphasizes interface with multiple engineering groups and requires hands-on testing, data analysis, and documentation to support mission-critical aerospace hardware.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• 3+ years of experience in semiconductor product engineering or reliability.
• 1+ years touching reliability testing methodologies (JEDEC/AEC-Q100).
• Experience with embedded C programming.

Responsibilities

• Lead component reliability test planning, methodology and execution.
• Help drive piece part reliability issues and risk towards closure.
• Drive analysis processes for all failures discovered during reliability testing.
• Build reliability prediction models/Finite Element Models to evaluate product functional performance over mission life conditions.
• Interface with SpaceX departments such as supply chain, design & test engineering, and production/manufacturing.
• Evaluate failure analysis and coordinate destructive physical analysis investigations to provide corrective actions and paths to closure.
• Execute testing campaigns to assess reliability of hardware and components.
