Job summary

Trident Systems Inc.—SES division in Chantilly, VA—seeks a Production Planner II to create, schedule, and release production orders supporting manufacturing and program delivery. You will work with Materials Manager, Program Managers, and planners to ensure material readiness, timely release, and accurate schedules using ERP/MRP tools.

Requirements include a bachelor's degree and 2–4 years of production scheduling or material control experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in production scheduling/planning or related supply chain role.
• Experience using ERP, MRP, or production control systems to manage production orders.
• Knowledge of production schedules, bills of material, inventory, material movement, kitting, staging, and manufacturing support processes.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel; ability to analyze schedules and material readiness information.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented with accurate records in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Create, schedule, and release production orders aligned with priorities and material availability.
• Maintain accurate production dates, status, routing, and material requirements in ERP/MRP systems.
• Coordinate with Materials Planning and Program Material Planning for readiness and approvals.
• Identify shortages and schedule risks and communicate them to stakeholders.
• Produce rolling dispatch lists and production schedules for leadership.
