Job summary

Trident Seafoods in Seattle, WA seeks a Production Planner II to lead rolling 3-month plans, balance demand with capacity, and optimize inventory across the supply chain. You will coordinate with Supply Chain, Operations, Commercial teams and plants to secure on-time product supply.

This role requires strong analytical skills, advanced Excel knowledge, and a minimum of three years in production or material planning within a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of three years of experience in production planning or related supply chain planning function.

Responsibilities

• Develop production plans over a rolling 3-month horizon to deliver strong customer service while managing inventory.
• Review Capacity to Demand ratio over a rolling 12-month horizon to improve plant efficiency and inventory targets.
• Schedule and lead weekly cross-functional production planning and S&OE meetings.
• Own production planning metrics: Schedule Adherence and Capacity Utilization.
• Collaborate with plants weekly to optimize schedules based on customer/SKU priorities and material availability.
• Proactively identify risks to service or utilization and communicate with Commercial and Operational leads.
• Lead RCCP meetings monthly and clearly communicate utilization and inventory build over the horizon.
• Suggest improvements to analytics tools within Excel and IBP.
• Maintain a master list of production line capacities and monitor PSA.
