Job summary

MRI Technologies has an exciting opportunity for an Electronic Component Engineer on the JETS II contract at NASA Johnson Space Center. You will lead a team of over 50 Electronics and Electrical Engineers, delivering EEE parts engineering support to NASA programs and ensuring reliability of space hardware.

The role involves evaluating parts lists, reporting on materials and derating, developing qualification plans, NSARs, and supporting DPA and procurement activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Master's degree preferred for advanced roles.
• 10–15 years of related experience.
• Experience leading a technical team.
• NASA or government customer interface experience.
• Knowledge of EEE parts, screening, derating.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Electronic Component Engineers across NASA projects.
• Evaluate EEE parts lists for criticality and environments.
• Review specs, standards, and NSPARs; develop qualification plans.
• Support DPA, NSARs, and procurement specs.
• Coordinate with test labs and part manufacturers.
• Provide technical guidance in space-level parts engineering.
