Job summary

Amentum seeks a Data Verification/Acquisition Technician to join the JETSII Contract in the Houston area. This role supports data acquisition systems, testing procedures, and related equipment in a collaborative NASA-focused environment.

The position requires strong data handling skills, familiarity with Windows, and the ability to work with vendors and within a team to enable safe, efficient testing operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in the field or related area.
• Experience with data acquisition hardware and software.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows configuration and operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate facility data acquisition systems.
• Run checklists or procedures to start and stop data acquisition and control systems for tests.
• Perform data handling including reducing, archiving, and restoring data for test support.
• Configure data systems to route signals to the UI in correct units.
• Maintain and operate facility communication system.
• Troubleshoot data acquisition and communication hardware using tools and documentation.
• Pull Ethernet or fiber optic cables and terminate ends.
• Process inventory transactions for lab storage.
• Maintain printers, projectors, and related equipment; perform basic troubleshooting.
• Support basic Windows admin tasks such as patching and backups.
• Assist in training and certification of Data Verification/Acquisition Technicians I and II.
• Work with vendors to order materials, equipment, and machines.
• Assist in testing setup and execution following safety procedures.
• Collect data and troubleshoot during testing.
