Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Operations & Budget Analyst in Houston to provide integrated operational and financial support for the JETS II contract. You will handle budgeting, forecasting, data analysis, and reporting while ensuring compliance with government requirements and delivering actionable insights to leadership.

You will collaborate with engineering teams, manage task order budgets, and maintain critical financial records using tools like JEMS, Deltek Costpoint, SharePoint, and Smartsheet.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a field or in a related area.
• Experience with GAAP and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial analyses including budgeting, forecasting, trend analysis, and financial modeling; identify and recommend corrections for discrepancies.
• Track and manage Task Order budgets across group, facilities, and WBS levels; coordinate forecast updates using systems such as JEMS.
• Collect, interpret, and upload financial data into accounting and budgeting systems; ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.
• Maintain and administer operational documentation including WADs, RFIs, RFPs, and other group records.
• Prepare Task Order financial statements and high level reports; support management with financial and operational insights.
• Support engineering teams and projects during reviews and presentations.
• Track team KPIs and metrics; provide leaders with data to support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Serve as administrator for SharePoint and Smartsheet to support workflow, reporting, and documentation management.
• Assist in developing financial controls, procedures, and forecasting techniques that meet JETS II, customer, and government compliance requirements.
• Provide financial guidance to internal teams, supporting budget development and analysis.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Comply with all applicable safety and health related rules, regulations, and procedures.
