Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Senior System Administrator to join the JETSII Contract in the Houston area. The role focuses on Windows administration, VMware VMWare, patching, security, and IT automation within a multi-server environment.

Ideal candidates bring strong AD, networking, firewall, and load-balancing knowledge, plus 10+ years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification. Onsite work with ONSITE benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related area and typically 10 years of system administration experience.
• Strong problem solving, independent analysis and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of Windows domain architecture, AD, networking and load balancing.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily Windows system administration in a multi-server environment.
• Maintain and tune the VMware virtual environment.
• Oversee patch remediation and software deployment across systems.
• Maintain system security and monitor/report on service levels.
• Provide support for local and shared services (accounts, storage, DR).
• Develop IT automation using Kaseya, PowerShell and other tools.
• Update documentation and configuration control; lead infrastructure improvement projects.
