Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Operations & Budget Analyst to provide integrated financial and operational support for NASA programs. The role blends budgeting, forecasting, documentation, and reporting to enable efficient Task Order performance and fiscal stewardship.

You will maintain financial records, support compliance with JETS II and government requirements, and deliver data-driven insights to leadership while collaborating across engineering teams on reviews and KPI tracking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field.
• Knowledge of GAAP and accounting software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Smartsheet, and financial/accounting software.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform budgeting, forecasting, trend analysis, and financial modeling.
• Track budgets across group, facilities, and WBS levels; coordinate forecast updates using JEMS.
• Collect, interpret, and upload financial data into accounting and budgeting systems; ensure accuracy of records.
• Prepare Task Order financial statements and high-level reports for leadership.
• Support engineering teams and projects during reviews and presentations.
• Track KPIs and metrics; provide data to support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Administer SharePoint and Smartsheet for workflow and reporting.
