Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a COMSEC Systems Engineer to strengthen the security and integrity of our communications infrastructure. You will work with Cybersecurity, Software, and Hardware Engineers to implement robust COMSEC solutions across national security programs.

The role requires a strong foundation in secure communications, cryptography, and systems engineering, with DoD/NSA policy familiarity. U.S. citizenship is required, with a preference for an active Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field (Systems/Electrical/CS).
• 3+ years in COMSEC or communications security engineering.
• Foundational understanding of secure communications systems and integration.
• Familiarity with cryptographic principles and key management; DoD COMSEC policies/NSA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Support design, development, and integration of COMSEC systems across national security programs.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity, Software, and Hardware Engineers to ensure secure communications architectures meet requirements.
• Develop and maintain COMSEC documentation: policies, procedures, system specifications.
• Develop V&V plans, RVTM, and test plans; coordinate verification across hardware, software, and integration tests.
• Support assessments of communications security risks and mitigation strategies.
• Lifecycle management of COMSEC equipment and keying material.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and directives.
