Job summary

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring a full-time General Plant HVAC Technician at Kennedy Space Center in Merritt Island, FL. You will install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems and related facilities, with shifts including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with completion of trade school or an apprenticeship.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Universal Refrigeration Certification required.
• Experience with refrigeration units, chiller systems, and electrical field equipment.
• Working knowledge of low‑voltage controls and electronics.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose electrical and mechanical malfunctions and complete repairs.
• Perform installation, preventive, and repair maintenance on HVAC systems, food storage refrigeration, and freezer systems.
• Assist in construction, painting, and carpentry to build or repair facilities.
• Assist in mechanical and structural preventive maintenance operations.
• Label, transport, and dispose of refrigerant cylinders and maintain records.
• Drive company vehicles around the property.
