Job summary

Moog in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a mid-level Lead Project Engineer to act as the technical lead for a spacecraft avionics package. You will translate program requirements into system architectures and drive product validation through delivery and integration.

Responsibilities include coordinating across hardware, firmware, software, test, and manufacturing teams; maintaining requirements traceability; and ensuring schedule and quality targets are met during cradle-to-grave project execution.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant engineering experience in space, avionics, or complex electronics systems.
• Experience creating or maintaining requirements traceability and verification artifacts.
• Strong problem‑solving and hands‑on test/debug skills at board or system level.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate technical activities across engineering disciplines for project execution.
• Maintain program requirements, traceability, and verification matrices.
• Contribute to system and subsystem architecture under guidance of senior technical leaders.
• Support validation and verification activities (environmental, functional, EMI/EMC, integration tests).
• Coordinate cross-functional teams (hardware, firmware/FPGA, software, test, suppliers, manufacturing).
• Troubleshoot and debug board- and system-level issues during test and integration.
• Ensure outputs meet schedule and quality targets.
