Job summary

Amazon Leo Autopilot is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to help design and implement cloud-native software systems supporting a satellite mission. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver low-latency, scalable services using Java, Python, and AWS, ensuring high reliability and safety for the Leo constellation.

You’ll contribute to architectural decisions, mentor newer engineers, and help define the technical roadmap while collaborating across peer teams in Redmond.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience for new or existing systems
• Experience programming in at least one language

Responsibilities

• Design suitable software systems to fulfill mission needs.
• Develop cloud native software in Java and Python.
• Utilize AWS and Amazon technologies to build high-availability services.
• Design and develop performant software meeting mission criteria.
• On-board and mentor new team members.
• Lead technical roadmap and decide features and performance improvements
