Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Space Architecture Performance Specialist to lead the development and maintenance of sophisticated simulation tools for space-based remote sensing architectures. This on-site role supports requirements verification, analyses-of-alternatives, and performance modeling across multiple locations in the U.S.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, systems engineering, mathematics, or related discipline from an accredited school.
• 8 years of progressively technical modeling and simulation experience.
• Proficiency with Python, C++, Fortran, or MATLAB.
• Ability to obtain TS/SCI security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams to perform assessments using in-house or internally developed analysis tools to drive research, development, and acquisition decisions.
• Partner across ETG to maintain quality M&S standards and software awareness.
• Mentor junior staff and plan bench depth in department capabilities.
• Translate customer needs into project objectives and instructions for ETG analysts and developers.
• Coordinate with aerospace program office and government partners to provide analyses and recommendations.
• Develop and present technically accurate presentations and reports to leads, management, and customers.
• Support development and sustainment of analysis and simulation tools and capabilities.
