Boyd Gaming is seeking a Spa Concierge to manage front desk operations, bookings, and guest communications at our spa. You will ensure smooth guest flow, explain treatments, and assist with product recommendations while maintaining high service standards.

Role requires excellent communication, organization, and a professional appearance. Flexible hours including holidays and weekends may be required to support spa operations.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and able to work legally in the U.S.
• 2 years college or equivalent experience is preferred.
• 1+ year spa/salon experience is required.
• Strong organizational and prioritization abilities in a busy environment.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, book appointments, check guests in/out, and complete shift reports.
• Demonstrate knowledge of spa treatments, products, benefits, and ingredients.
• Inform guests of services and book according to needs and preferences.
• Upsell spa services and assist guests with retail selections.
• Maintain accurate POS and ticketing; manage reservations and group bookings.
• Ensure spa front desk, retail, and locker areas are neat and stocked.
• Attend meetings; communicate updates to spa management.
• Provide excellent guest service and resolve guest issues as needed.

Job Description

The spa front desk plays a pivotal role in the smooth running of the spa. As such, the Spa Concierge assumes a vital role in each and every logistical operation relating directly and indirectly to overall guest satisfaction and ultimate success of the spa. Given the integral nature of the position, the spa concierge demeanor must be reflective at all times and of the highest standards of professionalism exemplified by IP. A consistently positive attitude, knowledge of all facets of the operation and attention to detail are traits which our spa receptionists must possess.

• Constantly answering phones, booking appointments, checking guests in and out of the facility and completing all shift reports and paperwork accurately
• Constantly demonstrates exceptional knowledge of the spa’s treatments, products used, their benefits, and ingredients and be able to communicate these to guests
• Constantly informing guests of all services available, describing each in detail, and booking according to guests needs and preferences
• Constantly provide excellent guest services to all spa guests
• Constantly up-selling services to groups and clients to increase spa revenues
• Constantly assist guests with retail product selections and educate them on correct use
• Constantly ensuring efficient, correct and accurate POS with all tickets
• Constantly proactively monitoring the books to ensure:
• Reservations, including group reservations, are complete and correct in order to foresee and prevent problems and guest complaints
• Reservations are made with regard to productivity to reduce the amount of down time for therapists, estheticians, and salon staff.
• Constantly ascertaining satisfaction of guests upon check-out and dealing with guest complaints as appropriate
• Constantly monitoring the guest areas of spa to ensure that the front desk, retail area, locker areas, are at all times neat, orderly, and well stocked
• Constantly participating in meetings to discuss and share pertinent information with spa management and to find ways to improve guest service, product quality, and productivity
• Constantly communicate to management and pass on pertinent information regarding the facility, associates, guests, supplies/repairs needed, and other relevant information
• Constantly ensuring that service standards are met at all times for the front of spa areas including front desk, retail area, and locker areas; following all policies and procedures as provided by spa manager
• Constantly make all guests feel welcome and take ownership of simple requests
• Constantly report any guest issues
• Constantly completing special tasks deemed necessary by spa management in a timely manner and without prompting
• Constantly perform any or all duties as assigned by management
• Constantly comply with all policies and procedures
• Constantly complete all established checklists
• Constantly follow uniform and grooming guidelines
• Constantly help in all areas of the spa
• Constantly always look for organization opportunities without being asked to do so
• Constantly follow the V.I.E.W. steps on a consistent basis
• Occasionally help train new associates

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age
• 2 years college or equivalent experience
• 1+ year employment in a spa/salon environment
• A superior sense of organization, control, and ability to prioritize in a fast paced, busy environment.
• Ability to type at least 40 words per minute
• Must possess excellent communication skills with the ability to express self in a professional, clear, and concise fashion.
• Must present a polished, impeccable appearance and a professional demeanor
• Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team
• Must be able to work flexible hours including holidays and weekends
• Preferred spa knowledge and computer knowledge
• Oral and written proficiency in the English language
• Constant standing, sitting, listening, reading, and speaking
• Constantly using wrist motion, dexterity, eye/hand coordination, writing.
• Physically able to stand, bend, lean, and walk for up to 10 hours. Able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
