SUMMARY:

TheSpa Manageris an expert blend of strategic business management,exceptionalguest relations, and deep understanding of luxurywellnesstrends. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of spa operations, from treatment excellence and staff development to financial performance and innovative programming. The Spa Manager possess the innate ability to anticipate guest needs, foster a culture of excellence among the spa team, and elevate the spa’s offerings to reflect the latest in holistic wellness, cutting-edge therapies, and refined hospitality. By deliveringimpeccable service, the Spa Manager will uphold La Bahia Hotel & Spa’s service standards (inspired by Forbes) while elevating our beachfront property.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee daily spa operations, ensuring seamless guest experiences from arrival to departure.
  • Ensures the “The Spa at La Bahia Experience” for members and guests by maintaining the standards set La Bahia’s Mission Statement/Values, Standards and Expectations, and Brand Standards.
  • Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Develop and implement service protocols to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and introduce innovative treatments.
  • Maintain spa facilities to the highest standards of cleanliness, ambiance, and functionality.
  • Work with premium product partners to curate exclusive spa experiences.
  • Ensure treatment protocols are followed for consistency and quality.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Manage inventory of spa products, linens, and equipment.
  • Develop and manage the spa budget, including revenue targets and cost control.
  • Monitor financial performance, analyze reports, and implement strategies to maximize profitability.
  • Drive sales through promotions, memberships, and upselling of treatments and retail products.
  • Collaborate with the hotel’s marketing team to promote spa services.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise spa staff (therapists, receptionists, attendants).
  • Train staff to deliver premium treatments and uphold brand standards.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching for continuous improvement.
  • Foster a positive, professional, and motivating work environment.
  • Schedule staff efficiently to meet business demands.
  • Coordinate with the hotel’s maintenance team for facility upkeep.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and leadership within the scope of the role.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • (2-3) years or more minimum experience as Spa supervisory role.
  • Luxury resort experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of professional spa services and treatments.
  • Knowledge of retail operations and inventory systems.
  • Effective leadership skills and a strong work ethic.
  • Efficient, well organized, and able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously.
  • Creative in marketing and promotions.
  • Sales oriented.
  • Energetic, enthusiastic and motivational.
  • Professional manner, discretion, and appearance.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Ability to show initiative and make decisions.

MISCELLANEOUS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Normal work hours: Varied to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficient in spa software (Spa Biz, Spa Soft or Visual One) and Microsoft Office products.
  • CPR/First Aid Certified.
  • Must be in a physical condition to project the health and wellness ideals of the spa environment.
  • Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of constantly to move objects.
  • The position may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • This position requires the following abilities: climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, tactile sense, repetitive motions, seeing, hearing, talking, and visual acuity.
