Job summary

The Watergate Hotel in Washington, DC is seeking a friendly spa receptionist to greet guests, answer calls, book appointments and process payments. The role requires delivering seamless service at the front desk of our spa and fitness center.

Mon & Thurs | 11 am - 6 pm; Tues & Wed | Closed. You will promote spa services, assist guests with product selection, and maintain a calm, welcoming environment for guests and members.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate in English.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Can communicate well with guests.
• Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers.
• Ability to deal with internal and external customers with patience and diplomacy.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a warm, professional demeanor.
• Handle incoming calls for appointments and schedule them.
• Promote spa, salon and fitness services and memberships.
• Explain spa treatments and assist with product selection.
• Resolve guest complaints following established procedures.
• Process POS transactions and gift certificates.
• Maintain stock of robes, towels, and amenities, and coordinate with housekeeping.
• Ensure spa environment, lighting, music, and relaxation lounge.
• Track daily guest sign-ins and wait list.
