Job summary

The Watergate Hotel in Washington, DC is seeking a part-time Spa Receptionist to greet guests, manage appointments, and support daily guest services. You will answer calls, schedule bookings, promote spa offerings, and process payments while maintaining a polished, guest-first presence.

Responsibilities include upselling spa services and retail, handling inquiries with tact, coordinating with housekeeping, and ensuring a welcoming spa environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate in English.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Can communicate well with guests and coworkers.
• Ability to perform basic math and use a computer.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a warm welcome and professional demeanor.
• Receive incoming calls for appointments and schedule them accordingly; update daily schedule.
• Within 2 days of arrival, call expected guests to promote spa, salon and fitness center; upsell services and memberships.
• Demonstrate knowledge of spa treatments and products; assist guests with retail selection.
• Handle guest complaints following established practices to ensure satisfaction.
• Process gift certificates and payments; maintain POS records.
• Maintain robes, towels, amenities; coordinate with housekeeping and engineering as needed.
• Manage spa environment including music, lounge ambiance, and lighting levels.
• Ensure all guests sign in and track daily wait lists.
