Job summary

Banya 5 Urban Spa in Seattle is seeking a dedicated facility attendant to maintain a clean, organized spa environment throughout all shifts. You will follow daily task lists, perform light pool chemistry tests, manage laundry and towel stock, and assist clients with questions while offering tours when appropriate.

Candidates should be upbeat, team oriented, and able to lift up to 60 lbs, pass a background check, and move safely on stairs. Spa-wide fringe benefits apply to employees.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Ability to navigate stairs quickly and safely.
• Must pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of facility to meet Banya's standards.
• Follow daily, hourly task lists and sign off.
• Perform basic pool chemistry testing as needed.
• Handle laundry, robe storage, and towel stock per standards.
• Remove discarded/soiled towels and store appropriately.
• Walk through and inspect facility for 90% of shift.
• Janitorial duties: locker room, trash, restock supplies, scrubbing.
• Wipe, dust, vacuum, mop all surfaces and outdoor upkeep.
• Stock tea/beverage service for clients during shift.
• Squeegee floors and keep debris-free.
• Learn facility features and provide tours when possible.
• Support Front Desk Operations when needed.

Job description

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of facility to meet Banya's standards
• Daily, hourly task lists to be followed and signed off on consistently
• Basic testing of Pool Chemistry
• Laundry detail when needed, storing of robes and stocking of towels meeting Banya 5's standards
• Discarded/Soiled towels to be removed and stored appropriately
• Walking through and inspecting facility 90% of the shift
• Janitorial duties to include: locker room detail, trash detail, replenishment of paper products and amenities, scrubbing

wiping, dusting, vacuuming, moping all surface areas and outdoor keep up

• Maintain, replenish and stock tea/beverage service for clients throughout shift
• Squeegee floors throughout shift and to be free of debris
• Learn and maintain knowledge of the facility and all it features
• Support Front Desk Operations when needed
• Assist clients with any questions they may have and whenever possible offer tours to new clients
