Job description

Job Description: Spa Attendant

The Spa Attendant greets, checks in, and escorts clients to designated spa areas. Responsibilities include assisting with the preparation of facilities for spa services, collecting payments, answering incoming calls, booking appointments, upselling products and services, and maintaining overall cleanliness of the spa and salon.

The Spa Attendant:

• Provides superior guest service, positively interacting with guests and team members, and handles difficult situations with resiliency.
• Ensures friendly, efficient, and accurate service during guest check-in and check-out. Provides guests with treatment instructions and fitness center guidance.
• Maintains organization and cleanliness of work areas, ensuring supplies and amenities are stocked and available.
• Handles cash transactions accurately, processes gift cards, and manages sales and gratuities.
• Monitors inventory levels and reports needs to Hotel Leadership.
• Schedules and confirms appointments, providing knowledgeable information about spa services.
• Reports safety hazards promptly.
• Promotes and sells spa services, meeting sales quotas if applicable.
• Performs other duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Exceptional guest service and communication skills required.
• Knowledge of fitness equipment preferred.
• Proficient in computer and phone use.
• Ability to multitask and work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
• Must obtain and maintain necessary licenses/certifications as per regulations.
• Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Skills are typically gained through previous guest service experience or two months of on-the-job training.
