Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated is offering a paid co-op for January–June 2027 to support the SOX PMO team. You will work with control owners across Accounting, Finance and HR to assess risk, document control changes, and support walkthroughs and audits.

You will gain exposure to Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance processes, prepare management metrics, and collaborate on ad hoc projects including system implementations and globalization efforts. This role is full-time with flexible/Hybrid options.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's or graduate degree in an accounting or business field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and prioritize.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States (no sponsorship for internships/co-ops).
• Must be enrolled in an advanced degree program if graduating before June 2027.
• Available to work full-time, 40 hours per week from January–June 2027.

Responsibilities

• Assist SOX PMO in evaluating and documenting key control changes and findings.
• Support process walkthroughs and monitor status of SOX deliverables.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Internal Audit, Finance and HR across multiple teams.
• Assist with ad hoc projects including system implementations and globalization efforts.
