Vertex is offering a 6-month SOX PMO Co‑Op for students pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in accounting. The role focuses on risk assessment, control design, and documentation within Vertex’s financial reporting and compliance framework.

It provides exposure to internal/external audit coordination, process globalization, and ad hoc projects. You will gain hands-on experience in Sarbanes‑Oxley controls, walkthroughs, and management reporting while working across Accounting, Finance, and HR

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and prioritize.
• Ability to work independently in a team environment.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States, now and in the future.

Responsabilités

• Assist with process walkthroughs across Revenue, Inventory, Treasury, SEC Reporting, GL Accounting and IT processes.
• Optimize SOX reporting tools.
• Monitor deliverables to internal and external auditors.
• Prepare metrics for quarterly management status meetings.
• Document key control changes for senior management presentations.
• Facilitate collection and review of quarterly control certifications.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Accounting, Internal Audit, Finance and HR on projects.
