Charles River seeks an Internal Audit Intern for Summer 2027 to support SOX testing and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic corporate audit environment. The role involves evaluating controls, documenting workpapers, and communicating observations within a global organization.

Open to eligible students meeting the internship requirements; hybrid work arrangement with one day per week in the office. Compensation is $25 per hour with variations based on experience and location.

Qualificações

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
• Strong interest in Internal Audit, Risk Management, Compliance, or Corporate Governance.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsabilidades

• Support the planning, preparation, and execution of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance testing under the guidance of Internal Audit professionals.
• Evaluate the design and effectiveness of internal controls through inquiry, observation, and testing procedures.
• Prepare and maintain audit workpapers in accordance with established audit standards and methodologies.
• Collaborate with employees and business partners across domestic and international locations.
• Participate in interviews with process and control owners to gain an understanding of key business processes and controls.
• Assess compliance with company policies, standard operating procedures, regulatory requirements, and applicable laws.
• Document audit observations and assist in developing practical recommendations for process and control improvements.
• Contribute to the preparation of periodic status reports and testing updates for management.
