Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prefer 2 years post-high school education in agriculture.
• 4+ years livestock experience and 2+ years supervisory experience with HS diploma.
• 1 year swine experience and 1 year supervisory with 2 years post-secondary ag education.
• Safety orientation and annual safety training required.
• Must be able to work weekends and have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Manage and train employees to follow production protocols.
• Policing routine to monitor protocols and efficiency.
• Oversee inventory of swine, semen, and supplies.
• Monitor feed inventory and reorder when necessary.
• Conduct goal setting and monitor production regularly.
• Prepare and submit reporting via website, fax, emails, etc.
• Participate with HR in recruiting and retaining farm employees.
