Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prefer 2 years post-secondary education in agricultural major.
• Prefer 4+ years livestock experience with 2 years supervisory experience.
• Prefer 1 year swine experience with 1 year supervisory experience and 2 years post‑high school ag education.

Responsibilities

• Manage and train employees to follow all production protocols and procedures.
• Policing routine to monitor protocols, production and efficiencies.
• Ensure accurate inventory management of swine, semen ordering and supplies.
• Monitor feed inventory and place orders when necessary.
• Set goals with employees and monitor progress to maximize production.
• Analyze financial reporting and adjust to meet/exceed budget; perform SOAP analyses where applicable.
• Train assistants in designated management aspects and supervise reporting.
• Recruit, interview and retain farm employees with HR.
• Communicate effectively at all levels of farm involvement.
• Maintain organized daily work schedules and task sheets.
• Provide shareholder communication on pig deliveries and vet recommendations.
• Participate in shareholder meetings as requested.
• Train staff on financial impact of performance; present analyses.
• Produce and present appropriate presentations as requested.
• Complete HR paperwork accurately for payroll and employee files.
