Job summary

Pipestone Careers is seeking a Site Manager to oversee daily operations of a swine production site in Minnesota. The role focuses on efficiency, animal welfare, biosecurity, and compliance with company standards. You will supervise staff, manage herd health, facilities, and productivity to meet production goals.

The candidate will lead through scheduling, training, and coaching, maintain accurate production records, and ensure safety. Weekend work and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years of experience in swine production with leadership or management preferred.
• Strong knowledge of swine production, herd health, and biosecurity practices.
• Leadership and team-management skills with ability to train and motivate employees.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of swine production including breeding, farrowing, nursery, and finishing as appropriate.
• Ensure inventory management of swine, semen, feed, and supplies.
• Monitor herd health, feed efficiency, and animal performance to meet targets.
• Organize work schedules and assign daily tasks to maximize efficiency.
• Supervise, train, and develop farm employees and monitor compliance with protocols.
• Maintain records related to production, health treatments, feed usage, and training.
• Participate in audits, inspections, and certification programs.
• Promote workplace safety and effective communication at all levels.
