Job summary

Carthage System seeks a Sow Farm Manager to oversee daily care of swine, including feed, water, and welfare, while directing farm employees to maximize productivity and animal health.

The role requires a BS in Animal Science or equivalent and 3–5 years of swine production experience, plus at least 1 year of people management. You will set targets, ensure SOPs, and maintain records with emphasis on safety and biosecurity.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Animal Science preferred or equivalent.
• 3–5 years swine production experience.
• Minimum of 1 year people management experience or a combination thereof.

Responsibilities

• Cares for animals daily, including water, feed and management.
• Builds and leads a trained team to carry out tasks.
• Ensures compliance with SOPs and biosecurity practices.
• Assists in controlling feed, supplies, and labor costs.
• Sets long- and short-term breeding/farrowing targets.
