Job summary

Carthage System - Professional Swine Management LLC is seeking a Production Trainee to assist the farm production team in daily duties within breeding/farrowing areas, following SOPs to maximize productivity and profitability.

The role involves biosecurity adherence, performing routine tasks, animal care including feeding, vaccinations, heat detection, and assisting with birthing and piglet care, plus sanitation and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Desire to work with pigs and learn animal behavior.
• Must be available to work 11 of 14 days, including weekends and holidays.
• Solid work history with references.

Responsibilities

• Complies with biosecurity to safeguard herd health.
• Performs routine farm tasks as directed by Head of Department.
• Adheres to SOPs to complete daily tasks efficiently.
• Maintains safe work environments and proper work practices.
• Cares for animals daily, including feeding, watering, health checks, and vaccinations.
• Supports team to keep area clean and sanitation standards.
