Job summary

Schwartz Farms, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance & Repair Technician for the Sow Farm to perform general maintenance across plumbing, welding, carpentry, painting, electrical and equipment servicing, with occasional support in the breeding department on weekends.

You're expected to maintain and repair production systems, manage preventive maintenance, follow safety and bio-security procedures, and work closely with the Sow Farm Manager to complete projects and ensure animal welfare standards are

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance skills across plumbing, welding, carpentry, painting, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and communicate effectively with team members.
• Experience with general shop tools and equipment preferred.
• Valid driving record and willingness to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and rebuild production equipment and systems on the sow farm.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Support in the breeding department on occasional weekends as needed.
• Ensure safety, bio-security and company documentation requirements are met.
• Operate and coordinate use of equipment such as skid loaders and generators.
