Job summary

Shionogi Inc. is seeking a District Manager to lead a primary care sales team across the Southwest region, including Phoenix, AZ and surrounding markets. You will hire, train, and coach field representatives, drive district sales, and ensure alignment with national strategies.

The role requires 5+ years in pharma sales (primary care preferred) and 3+ years of sales management. Strong CRM, budgeting, and cross-functional collaboration are essential for success.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of successful pharmaceutical sales experience with primary care focus.
• Minimum of three (3) years of sales management experience in pharma.
• Proven leadership and coaching of cross-functional teams.
• Launch planning experience in primary care is highly preferred.
• Experience coaching field activity and optimizing territory performance.
• Experience using CRM systems to support territory dynamics and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Hire, coach, develop and retain a high-performing team of primary care sales representatives.
• Deliver sales performance and KPIs to meet district sales plan within budgets.
• Oversee daily in-field activity and management of team members.
• Lead a field team with product knowledge, market conditions, and brand strategy.
• Ensure district plans align with brand strategy and national priorities.
• Monitor budgets and resources to meet district goals and comply with policies.
• Plan and conduct leadership meetings and field rides with timely feedback.
