Job summary

Air Methods is seeking an Aviation Maintenance Technician to perform inspections, repairs and alterations on company aircraft in our Southeast Region. You will ensure FAA-compliant maintenance documentation, guide the PIC on issues that could take an aircraft out of service, and participate in SMS improvements. A&P license is required and RAMCO experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • FAA A&P license required with good standing.
  • 2–5 years of rotorcraft/mechanical experience preferred.
  • RAMCO experience is advantageous and memory of Ramco data is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections and repairs of aircraft and components per procedures and FAA regs.
  • Verify part numbers and serial numbers against documentation.
  • Ensure maintenance docs comply with FARs and company policies.
  • Participate in continuous improvement within the SMS program.
  • Maintain a clean, professional work area.
  • Correct compliance or safety issues as directed by leadership.
  • Advise PIC of maintenance issues that would take aircraft out of service.
  • Validate data in Status Reports for aircraft being worked on.
  • Request parts to maintain inventory for prompt repairs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
