Job summary

Egis Group in Miami seeks an Area Business Leader to drive the South Florida market, lead the transportation design team, and oversee client service, business development, and project delivery. You will build relationships with Florida agencies, manage resources and budgets, and guide go/no-go decisions while shaping growth strategies for the region.

The role may serve as regional practice leader, discipline leader, and/or project manager with a focus on coordination, utilization, and delivering

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, planning, or technical field or equivalent experience.
• Licensed professional engineer in Florida.
• Minimum 12 years of progressively responsible experience.
• Engineer II classification or higher.
• Experience in budgets and schedules as discipline lead or project manager.
• Experience in roads, highways and bridges design/construction services.
• Strong written and verbal communications.
• Ability to lead meetings and interface with Egis’s clients.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to develop effective long-term relationships with Florida agencies at local, regional, and state levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead Marketing and Business Development efforts.
• Build client relationships and manage engagement plans for key clients.
• Coordinate with Discipline Leaders on pursuit targets and strategy.
• Maintain opportunity pipeline and establish teaming with consultants.
• Represent Egis at meetings and industry events.
• Participate in Go/No-go and strategy reviews of key pursuits.
• Assist in annual sales goal development at the state level.
• Oversee staffing needs with regional growth plans.
• Lead full-cycle hiring, onboarding, and team integration.
• Stabilize the business by focusing on sustainable growth and culture.
• Manage office operations including safety plans and compliance.
• Oversee project budgets and schedules; coordinate with discipline leaders on quality control.
