Job summary

Egis is seeking an Area Business Leader for the South Florida market, based in Miami. You will drive client engagement, business development, and project delivery, leading a design team and coordinating with local agencies.

The role requires a strong leadership presence, budget control, and the ability to cultivate relationships with Florida agencies at local, regional, and state levels. The position offers hybrid work arrangements and opportunities for growth within Egis’ North America

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, planning, or technical expertise or equivalent experience.
• Licensed professional engineer in Florida.
• Minimum 12 years of progressively responsible experience.
• Engineer II classification or higher.
• Must have developed and managed budgets and schedules as a discipline lead or project manager.
• Experienced in planning, design, and construction services for roads, highways and bridges.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Ability to lead meetings and interface with Egis’s clients.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to develop effective long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders in transportation.

Responsibilities

• Lead marketing and business development efforts with key clients and partners.
• Coordinate pursuit targets with Discipline Leaders and maintain the opportunity pipeline.
• Oversee staff workload and budget management for the South Florida team.
• Represent Egis at client meetings and industry events.
• Support HR processes including recruitment and staff development.
• Ensure office operations align with safety plans and corporate policies.
• Monitor budgets and schedules across projects and ensure quality control.

Education
