Job summary

Paws and Claws Pet Sitting and Dog Walking is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our pet care team in Silicon Valley. This part-time role starts at 10-15 hours per week with pay at $25/hour, potentially increasing as responsibilities grow.

You will coordinate team scheduling, manage client communications, recruit and onboard new staff, and provide weekly updates to the owner, helping the business run smoothly and grow.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of management or team leadership experience.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Familiar with the geography of the South Bay/San Jose area.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily scheduling and coverage for all clients.
• Serve as the first point of contact for team questions, schedule changes, and coverage issues.
• Help recruit, interview, and onboard new team members.
• Handle team performance conversations and documentation.
• Conduct team check-ins via Zoom.
