Job summary

Compass Group, North America’s Eurest division in Irving, TX is hiring a full-time Sous Chef to support the Executive Chef by preparing and cooking foods and supervising cooks and other food-service staff. Location: 401 W. Las Colinas Boulevard, Irving, TX 75039.

The role requires at least 3 years of culinary experience, a flexible full-time schedule, and a pay range of $22.00 to $25.00 per hour. Perks include free parking, no weekends, and no major holidays, with internal employee referral

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of culinary experience.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards.
• Supervises hourly food service associates including interviews, scheduling, payroll, training and discipline as appropriate.
• Stores food following all food safety procedures and maintains sanitation of equipment and workstation.
• Ensures proper food handling, portioning and serving temperatures.
• Maintains sanitation and cleanliness of equipment and displays.
• Interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Explains daily menu items to staff and customers.
• Monitors peak production and service hours.
• Tracks inventory and communicates supply needs to supervisor.
