Job Summary

As a Sous Chef II, you will assist in the overall success of the food program and oversee culinary functions. Your responsibilities include planning, ordering, inventory, and food preparation, ensuring adherence to client culture, health regulations, and company standards for food quality, freshness, and presentation. You will also motivate, train, develop, and direct back-of-house staff to meet operational objectives and ensure customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in preparing and cooking various food items.
  • Help in planning and creating menus.
  • Implement new culinary programs with the marketing and culinary teams.
  • Manage cost controls and expenditures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years of related culinary experience, including 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, healthcare, or related food services.
  • Knowledge of food trends, quality, sanitation, safety, food cost controls, and presentation.
  • Ability to set up and distribute production sheets.
  • Leadership, training, management, and coaching skills.
  • ServSafe or Department of Health Certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts preferred.
