Salary: $65,000-$70,000

Job Summary

As a Sous Chef II, you will assist in the success of the food program and oversee culinary functions, including planning, ordering, inventory, and food preparation. You will ensure adherence to client culture, health regulations, and our standards of food quality, freshness, and presentation. You will also motivate, train, develop, and direct back-of-house staff to meet operational objectives and satisfy customers, clients, and management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing and cooking various food items.
  • Help in planning and creating menus.
  • Implement new culinary programs in collaboration with marketing and culinary teams.
  • Manage cost controls and expenditures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of related culinary experience, including 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Experience across various food service environments such as restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, healthcare, etc.
  • Knowledge of food industry trends, quality, sanitation, safety, and food cost controls.
  • Ability to set up and manage production sheets.
  • Leadership, training, management, and coaching skills.
  • ServSafe or Department of Health Certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts preferred.
