Blueplate in South Jersey is seeking a Sous Chef/Lead Chef to join our busy kitchen. You’ll work side by side with the Executive Chef to develop seasonal menus and daily specials, using fresh ingredients from local farms.

You’ll lead, motivate, and mentor a kitchen team, ensuring top quality, consistency, and efficiency. Pastry experience is a plus as we grow with an established culinary family.

Qualificações

• Experience in a busy, high-volume kitchen.
• Understanding of menu development and food costing.
• Knowledge of ordering, inventory, and kitchen operations.
• Experience with fish and meat butchery.
• Strong knowledge of soups, stocks and sauces.
• Ability to lead, motivate and work alongside a kitchen team.
• Willingness to learn, share knowledge and contribute new ideas.
• Pastry experience is a plus.
