Job summary

The Glen House Hotel’s Notch Grill is seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our culinary team and work directly under Chef Joshua Bartholomew, in the White Mountains at the base of Mount Washington.

You’ll lead daily kitchen operations, execute inventive menus, mentor line cooks, ensure food quality and safety, and help elevate guest experiences at a destination renowned for its views and hospitality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of high-volume kitchen management.
• Culinary degree desirable or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Serve Safe Certification and Allergy Awareness Training strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Executive Chef to develop seasonal menus with local ingredients and international flavors.
• Oversee food preparation, ensure recipes, portions, quality, and safety standards.
• Supervise kitchen staff and provide coaching to enhance skills and teamwork.
• Manage ordering, inventory, production scheduling, and equipment maintenance.
