Job summary

The Glen House’s Notch Grill is seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our culinary team, working under Chef Joshua Bartholomew in one of New England’s most spectacular settings at the base of Mount Washington. This role blends creativity, leadership, and high-volume kitchen discipline in a landmark resort.

You will help develop menus, supervise staff, ensure quality and food safety, and lead daily kitchen operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in high-volume kitchen management.
• Catering/banquet experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience in food & beverage operations.
• Culinary degree desirable or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Executive Chef to develop seasonal menus.
• Oversee food preparation and ensure quality and safety.
• Supervise kitchen staff and coach team.
• Manage ordering, inventory, and production scheduling.
• Maintain sanitary kitchen environment and safety compliance.
• Train and mentor staff; conduct regular tasting and quality checks.
