Job summary

Compass Group USA, via CulinArt Group, seeks a Sous Chef to lead the Culinary Department in a facility. You will supervise and assist in preparing, cooking, and garnishing items, while helping develop menus and assist with ordering.

You will work with the Executive Chef to implement new culinary programs and support catering events, providing energetic culinary leadership and quality execution.

Qualifications

• A.S. or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Progressive culinary/kitchen management experience preferred.
• High volume, complex foodservice operations experience is highly desirable.
• Institutional and batch cooking experience is helpful.
• Knowledge of food and catering trends, quality and cost controls.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, email and Internet.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Chef with cost controls and expenditures.
• Assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus.
• Produce and execute catering events.
• Roll out new culinary programs with marketing and culinary teams.
