Job summary

Chouette in Columbus, OH is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to help lead our kitchen operations and uphold the high standards of Makeready's French-inspired concept. The role demands hands-on culinary leadership, menu design input, and the ability to train and develop a high-performing kitchen team while ensuring timely, quality food preparation in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Sous Chef preferred.
• Excellent food preparation skills.
• Patient, understanding and detailed personality.
• Keen eye for detail for cleanliness and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Help in the preparation and design of all food menus.
• Ensure the kitchen operates in a timely way to meet quality standards.
• Fill in for the executive chef in planning and directing food preparation, when necessary.
• Train culinary team members, establishing schedules and enforcing sanitation regulations and safety standards.
• Develop high performing teams and maintain standards set by the Executive Chef.
