Job summary

Compass Group is hiring a full-time Sous Chef at the Belmont, NC campus location. The role supports the Executive Chef, coordinates cooks and food-service staff, and ensures daily kitchen operations run smoothly. Open availability and a strong appreciation for food safety are expected.

Prior cooking and food service experience is required.

Responsibilities

Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards.
Supervises hourly food service associates, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and reviews.
Stores food in designated areas following all sanitation procedures.
Ensures proper food handling, presentation, and serving temperatures.
Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies, and workstation; keeps display equipment clean.
Interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
Keeps up with peak production and service hours.
Monitors inventory and deliveries of product and supplies; notes low supplies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
