• Oversees and manages food preparation for a specific area of the kitchen.
• Ensures recipes are followed and food production is consistent.
• Monitors and maintains kitchen equipment daily.
• Maintains a sanitation program.
• Assists in ordering of all food products.
• Trains and supervises associates in menu item preparation.
• Ensures proper receiving, storage and rotation of food per health regulations.
• Assists in interviewing, hiring, and directing staff.
• Incorporates safe work practices.
