Job summary

Morrison Healthcare is hiring a Sous Chef to lead the Culinary Department in a hospital facility. You will supervise and support the preparation and cooking of diverse menu items, helping to create daily offerings and garnishes.

You may oversee hourly staff and collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop menus and assist with ordering. This role offers an energetic, entrepreneurial culinary professional a chance to impact patient and community meals while maintaining high standards of quality

Qualifications

• A.S. or equivalent experience.
• Progressive culinary/kitchen management experience.
• High volume, complex foodservice operations experience.
• Ability with computers; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point), Outlook, E-mail and the Internet.
• ServSafe certification - highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and expenditures for the account.
• Assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus.
• Produce and execute catering events.
• Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with Company marketing and culinary team.
